Mikayla is an Accredited Hand Therapist (as awarded by the AHTA) and graduated from Bond University in 2015 with a Doctor of Physiotherapy. Following graduation she worked in a private Hand Therapy practice on the Gold Coast prior to joining the EKCO team in December 2019. Mikayla published her research on “A retrospective cohort study of QuickDASH scores for common acute trauma conditions presenting for hand therapy” in the Journal of Hand Therapy in 2015 and has presented at several Physiotherapy and Hand Therapy national conferences. She has a keen interest in musician’s injuries and a previous Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from Western University, Canada.
