Pearse graduated from La Trobe University in 2003 Bach OT, and has worked in a variety of OT roles, commencing in Hand Therapy in 2005. Pearse worked in both public and private hand therapy services, before taking up a part time role at Deakin University in 2012 whilst also working at Barwon Health and Geelong Hand Therapy. Pearse was introduced to research while working at Austin Health and has always had a keen interesting in teaching evidence based practice. Pearse now works full time at Deakin University in the Occupational Therapy program, whilst researching the use of technology to improve health service outcomes, include 3D printing and SMART home technology.
