Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation is used successfully in a range of conditions, and InterX is a recent TENS innovation that helps to overcome some of the barriers identified in a metanalyses analysis of TENS. Orthopaedic studies with InterX have demonstrated significant reduction in pain and oedema, and increased range of motion, all of which can be beneficial in hand and upper limb injuries. This hands on workshop briefly explores the scientific justification for InterX and clinical techniques to ensure success with a wide range of hand injuries and conditions.
