Do you find yourself striving to work within the framework of evidence-based practice but frustrated by the level of evidence available, including empty systematic reviews and research that does not appear relevant to your day-to-day practice? Want to contribute to evidence-based clinical practice guidelines but not sure how to? Then this hands-on, interactive introductory workshop is for you.
The focus of this workshop will include:
- A brief overview of evidence base practice
- The phases of clinical research
- Single subject research design
- Collecting and organising your data
- Data analysis
- Fidelity to treatment protocols
To facilitate practical application of theoretical concepts discussed, participants will be encouraged to bring along ideas for research projects (big or small) that they are interested in implementing within their own unique work environments.
